Our Association

We established this association to create a constructive group in the Butler area for people of all ages to get together and bond over shared interests. We offer exciting, fun events throughout the year.

We are always pleased to welcome new members to the Meridian Veterans Club. Please stop by - we would like to meet you!

Founding

In 1931 a small group of Veterans from the Meridian area formed together resulting in the Meridian Veterans Club. The club grew in membership and was incorporated in 1935. The club continues to thrive and grow to the present time. We have over 100 active and social members. We have a nice cluhouse with a meeting area and a banquet hall. Also a park for the members enjoyment and use.

Renovation

Over the last several years, we made a lot of improvements to our club. We completed a restoration of our Memorial Area to include a large memorial stone. The parking lot was resurfaced and we increased the size of our overflow parking area. Additional property was added to our park. New roofing and gutters was completed on our buildings. Our hall is receiving a fresh coat of paint. Our Park received a complete redo by eliminating excess trees, better drainage, new cement work, improvements to bathrooms, painting, and landscaping to include a bald eagle carving.  Improvements will continue this year thanks to all the hard work of our members.

Any former service man or woman, having been other than dishonorably discharged from the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corp, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard of any State of the United States, or any man or woman now in the service of the above named forces, shall be eligilbe for membership. Social members need only to be 21 years old and sponsored by a member.
