William “Bill” Arthur Bieber Age: 61 Of Butler passed away early Tuesday morning, July 11, 2006 at The Butler Memorial Hospital, following an illness. He was born February 13, 1945 in Lancaster Township and was the son of Ralph and Beulah (Domhaff) Bieber. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middle Lancaster Twp., where he enjoyed playing in the Church Softball League. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served our Country from 1965 to 1967. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the Meridian Vets Club. Mr. Bieber was a Tack Welder for 19 years at Pullman in Butler before it closed. He then worked at Vic Nor Farms, Pinkerton Security Company, and Central Chemical Company in Butler. Due to his illness, he retired from Culligan after working there for 15 years. He was well known for delivering bottled water and salt for the Butler Culligan Company. He enjoyed playing softball, hunting, gardening, working outside, square dancing, and playing the bean bag toss game in competition with his friends. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Blair Stephenson-Bieber, whom he married July 13, 1996. His children, William “Billy” A. Bieber, Jr., Barry A. Bieber both of Prospect, Jeff and Katie Stephenson, Greg and Jaci Stephenson all of Butler, and Lisa Stephenson at home. Two Grandsons, Kyle and Shane Stephenson of Butler. He is also survived by: Two brothers and a Sister in Law, Clare Bieber of Harmony, Robert and Shirley Bieber of Evans City. Four sisters and Brothers in Laws, Mrs. William (Fay) Collins, Mrs. Thomas (Sally) Davis, all of Harmony, Janet Bintrim of Portersville, and Mrs. Clair (Charlotte) Bupp of Butler. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and Two great great nephews and One great great niece. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Friends of William A Bieber, who passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006 will be received Thursday from 7-9pm, Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10am until time of service at 11am at the Zion Lutheran Church, Middle Lancaster Twp, with the Rev. Margaret Suhr-Barkley, his Church Pastor, officiating.
